Will you have chosen it for them, before they even sit down for the first time in your classroom?
Or will it emerge as the year progresses?
Can it be something you create together, with the shared classroom environment a meeting place (among many), only ready for a definitive cover (to be determined by each individual student) on the last day of school in 2012?
There's nothing wrong at all with doing that start of year planning and preparation at this stage. It's all part of that QA (Quality Assurance) stuff, isn't it?
I guess one of the key questions I find myself contemplating at this time of the (new academic) year is whether I plan to build or grow something with my learners this year.
