Maybe it's a little more fun to explore the other side of Valentine's Day!

In hindsight, my apologies! The lesson material I uploaded on Saturday for Valentine's Day was, well, pretty tame...
Truth be told, I probably wouldn't use it myself -- not unless I were to follow it up with something with a little more potential juice and tang in it... something more like this!
Here's the lowdown.
The learners ("Jo") have received an email on Valentine's Day from "Sam" -- their sweetheart. Well, "Sam" used to be the learners' sweetheart! "Sam" has emailed the learners to let them know that he/she is dumping them!
Why? "Sam" is unhappy about the learners snubbing his/her parents, being rude to his/her sister, and being mean to Sam's precious dog Rufus.
A variety of tasks/project ideas are then offered as follow up, including writing back to Sam, leaving Sam a voice message, doing a skit about later running into Sam someplace public, composing a series of text messages that follow up the email/decision, and creating a newspaper or television report about a headline-grabbing stunt that "Jo" performs after receiving the email.
A lot more fun to be had here, I reckon!

Hope you (and your learners!) like it.
