Good news for teachers in Asia, Australia and Oceania!
My co-founders (and co-moderators) at #ELTChat (a Twitter-based topical discussion initiative for English language teachers) have agreed to move the time of the first chat session from 3pm London-time to 12 noon London time.
What that means is that the first session of #ELTChat now takes place evening time in most parts of Asia and Australia (as well as the whole Oceania region).
This results in a session time of 11pm in the eastern states of Australia, 9pm in Korea and Japan, 8pm in Taiwan and China, and times ranging from mid afternoon to early evening in regions from South East Asia right across to the Middle East.
As I understand it, the new time for this session also results in a midday (or early afternoon) time for most parts of Europe as well, and a morning time for our friends in the Americas. All up, I think it's a win-win session time for teachers in more parts of the world.
To find out exactly when the session begins in your part of the world, check out the time zone reference chart here.
Myself and the other moderators at #ELTChat look forward to meeting teachers from all of these regions on Twitter at the new session time (starting from today!). Check out the topic options for today as well as the good work we have achieved in the past on our site: http://eltchat.com/
Remember, all teachers of English (EFL or ESL) are welcome!
