You know, teaching unplugged is not really that difficult to do. It's not a style of teaching limited to mid to higher level classes, either.
Below you will find an "unplugged" lesson I taught today -- a three hour class with very low level refugee students from Burma. It consists of a tour of the actual whiteboard work I put together as the lesson progressed through a series of stages.

The material certainly isn't as "glamorous" or "spiffing" as the sort of stuff you're likely to find in today's commercial coursebooks. But then again, I haven't seen a coursebook anywhere that could target the particular experiences and needs of today's students as well as this lesson potentially did.
