I was reviewing a recent post about vocabulary building resources (the "Wordwise" worksheet or workbook approach) and also browsing my Wizard English Grids category on the blog when I came across this post from a little over a year ago:
Wizard English Grids to create vocabulary learning resources
In a lot of ways, I think the screencast (and basic Wizard English Grid format) there represent probably my favourite and most practical approach to vocabulary building for EFL/ESL learners, so I thought it might be worth re-blogging!
[Aside]: I find the Wizard English Grid format to be the most flexible and creative of ANY resource I've ever designed, so as I prepare to start teaching new classes next week, I'm wondering about the reaction in the staff room... when my new colleagues see me doing a 10-week term's preparation in front of the photocopier reeling off a couple hundred copies of a 4 X 5 square blank grid!
:-D
