Okay, it is made by a tourism body and is designed to get you to visit, but other than the depiction of great shopping (which my Korean wife finds vastly over-rated!) this is actually a very good snapshot of the little city of Geelong and its really pleasant waterfront and overall atmosphere.
Oh, and the word Geelong doesn't actually mean "place where the annoying Raven squawks" - it is derived from the local Wathaurong name for the region, Jillong, thought to mean 'land' or 'cliffs'.
Geelong is also the traditional gateway to Victoria's fairly renowned Great Ocean Road, including the 12 Apostles (though there are fewer than 12 these days, given they tend to collapse into the ocean from time to time).
Hope you enjoyed the little tour!
If you're in the area sometime, please drop in and say hello :-)
