If you are teaching English to young learners (children) or teenagers, you really ought to consider joining IATEFL's YLT-SIG (Young Learners and Teenagers Special Interest Group).
They've been around for a long time, and are very active, with members from all over the world. I did some committee-level work with the SIG some years ago, and hadn't visited their Yahoo Discussion Group for quite a while - just did so recently and found myself in the midst of a very dynamic and busy discussion about Assessment!
As far as I can remember/tell, you can still join and take part in their Yahoo Discussion Group without needing to become a paid-up member, but official membership does bring a lot of perks, quality materials, and opportunities within a specialised segment of IATEFL's broader network of services and activities - so it's an investment worth considering for the professionals out there.
Keep up the great work, YLT-SIG!
