Yet another application of my ol' favourite, the Wizard English Grid (a post with a downloadable version of the grid is available here), this time to facilitate classroom introductions in a way that cushions the potential stress for those first-time students, but also hopefully gathers a richer array of information about students and offers more targeted opportunities for spoken interaction.

Looking forward to using it again myself next week with some new classes, and hope some teachers out there feel it might be worth trying with their new groups as well.
